A Category N vehicle is one that has suffered cosmetic or non-structural damage but remains mechanically and structurally sound. These vehicles are safe to drive and offer great value.
Do you sell Category S cars?
No. At CatCarz, we only sell Category N vehicles. We never stock Category S cars, which have sustained structural damage.
Is it difficult to insure a Category N car?
Not at all. Insurers typically treat Category N vehicles like any other used car. The classification is not recorded on the logbook, and most customers find insurance quick and easy to arrange.
Do your cars come with a warranty?
Yes. Every vehicle comes with a six-month warranty, covering up to £1,000 per item.
Do you sell used cars to customers outside Uckfield?
Yes, we regularly sell vehicles to customers from across East Sussex and beyond. While we are based in Piltdown near Uckfield, many of our buyers come from areas such as Crowborough, Lewes, Haywards Heath, Heathfield, and even Brighton. What Checks Are In Place?
We process an HPI report on our stock prior to purchase. This confirms there’s no outstanding finance, that the vehicle hasn't been stolen, and provides a full record of its history. Even though we specialise in Category N cars, we ensure every buyer has complete transparency on the vehicle’s background.

Yes, you can. If you’ve found a vehicle on our website that you're seriously interested in, we can take a small holding deposit under certain circumstances. Please contact us for further details.
Do you deliver vehicles?
We can offer local delivery within a short distance of Uckfield, Crowborough, or other parts of East Sussex, depending on the vehicle and your location, usually for a nominal fee. Please contact us to discuss other delivery options as we have a network of transporters available.
Do you offer vehicle servicing or MOTs?
While we do not currently carry out general servicing or MOTs for the public, we inspect and prepare all cars before sale to ensure they are roadworthy. All of our cars come with a long MOT, and we’re happy to recommend trusted local garages in the Uckfield area for ongoing maintenance.
Can I test drive a car?
Yes, test drives are welcome and encouraged, provided that suitable insurance is in place.
